Hi everyone,

Let me first say thanks for any help you can give because I am in dire need. I am in graduate school andcurrently laid off from my job. I need help paying my rent, car note, and phone bills (which I might add I am late paying). My family unfortunately, can't help me financially and I don't know where to turn.

I am 52 years old.  I have one son (14) living at home.  I have 30 years experience as an Office Manager.  Three years ago I left my job of 18 years and went to work for the Funeral industry.  I wanted to help people.  I had lost my parents and a brother.  My mom died when I was 17 and my dad left me to raise a 12 year old sister.  I went to work - bummed rides until I could get transportation and we made it okay.  No extras but we ate and had heat.  Mid 2009 - hell came on earth for me.  That same sister who was like my daughter died when someone gave her something the doctor had given them because her back was hurting.  The medication stopped her heart.  The next month my cousin (her best friend) died in her sleep COPD.  Two months later, my mothers only brother died of a stroke,  My own brother had two heart attacks.  I was crushed.  Coming to work everyday seeing my sisters grave took a toll on me.  I have never been fired or even written up - but I was making stupid errors and I was fired...more devistation.  I applied for the first time in my life for unemployment and was turned down, they said because I was not doing my job..the reasons didn't matter.  I struggled until I used the last of my money - then applied for food stamps in Mississippi - but since unemployment denied me, I had to be "punished: and endure a two month waiting period from the time I applied.  I asked if they would just feed my son - I am looking for a job every single day.  They said he didn't qualify for emergency help because he was older than SIX!  A 14 year old doesn't need daily food I guess.  I have $30 left.  We have no gas for heat and we are sleeping in a closed off living room on couch & love seat with one little electric heater.  The power bill is due.  I am 2 months behind on the car note and they are saying they are going to repo if I don't pay $600 in 30 days.  I was never late with a single payment.  I am overdrawn at the bank.  A local church gave us enough food to last two weeks if I only eat crackers and rice and save the real food for my son.  I am not lazy, I have a blood disorder and pass out if I stand too long so no one will hire me as a cashier or like that.  I have applied for jobs making 8 dollars an hour (I was making 40K a year) but no one wants a 52 year old that they know will have to move on to better pay when the job market picks up.  So I don't know if anyone can help me...so far no one will.  But any help would be greatly appreciated and I will pay it forward in double when I get back on my feet.

I am a 28yr old single mother with a 9 yr old son and as of 7/26/07 I have been unemployed. I applied for unemployment and was denied. I have no one who can financially assistance me with paying my bills,such as rent,car note, utility bills,etc..I do not recieve any government assistance I've been job searching. I am asking for assistance for at least 3 months to avoid loosing my house,car etc..I have to have somewhere for my son and self to live...I have never been in a situation like this before and I don't know what to do...Please HELP ME! I greatly appreciate it..

 I am a single mother of 5 children who lost her job June 29,2007. I was refused unemployment, while I was out of work I got very behind in all of my bills, now I can not seem to catch up. Any type of aid would be helpful.

Hello all.  My name is Heather and I am a single mother of a special needs child.  I work full time as a secretary at a local hopital and am generally able to keep things paid as well as help others in need without state assistance or child support (I will never see a penny).  But I have had a few medical problems that have put me behind on my rent and my car payment and I have been given warning of impending eviction and being default on my car note.  It is hard for me to ask for help like this but I have exhausted every avenue I can think of.  My rent is past due, I owe 2 months which equals $1100.  And my car note needs to be paid $500 so it is not defaulted by the 5th of August.  If anyone is willing to help with any of this (a dollar from 1700 people would work) I would really appreciate it.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Any help I recieve I plan to pay it forward when I am able to do so.

I had a anxiety attack at work two month ago .I am three months behind on my car they are going to take my car today.Worker compensation have not started paying me yet. My phone will be cut off today.My rent,water,and light is due.All my bills are three months behind. I just need some one to help me pay my bills until I get my worker compensation started. Please help me. I promise to pay back.

Have you ever felt like you were being chased by debt? Like you were running with the bulls in Pamplona. It's a horrible feeling knowing you're just a hair ahead of being trampled. In May of 06' my husband had been working for a freight company for nearly 2 months. He had recently left a demeaning job as a janitor in a pornography shop earning $7 per hour. Now he was earning $14 per hour, and working 12 hours a night 5 days per week, we had finally begun to get far ahead of the bulls. On June 8th, the bulls caught up with us and trampled us deep into the dirt. My husband lost his job. Things are looking brighter now. We have begun to plan our future again. Times are still hard as well are still paying off debts we acquired during that down time, but we pray that relief from the chains of debt are not far off.  If you are reading this, and would like to be an answer to this prayer, first God bless you. If you are willing and able we do not seek much. Even the paying of one utility bill would help get us far ahead of the bulls. And the blessing of paying our rent or car note for one month would certainly get us on the right track towards seeing that brighter future sooner. Thank you ever so much for listening to my story. Hi Guys, I’m a fun loving, optimistic Picean. I love to read, write poetry, take walks in the woods, go to amusement parks, and anything that would involve nature, children, and an all around good time. Okay, so that sounds like a personal ad..LOL, but really, I also enjoy fleamarkets, yardsales, thrift stores oh yeah and E-BAY of course!

I work full time as a receptionist and I sell costume jewelry and other odds and ends on Ebay. I am a full figured woman so I also enjoy running my own Plus size clothing recycle group here in Georgia via the internet. Ladies can list items they would like to give away or receive totally free!

My husband and I look forward to moving out of our cramped 1 bedroom apartment in the next year or so into a new house. We also look forward to opening our arms via adoption to an child....or children...God's will.

I am a father of one four year old boy.  I only make about 20,000.00 a year working full time for Parisian.  This might sound like plenty, but after I pay utilities, car note, house note, daycare, gas, food, and whatever else I haven't mentioned.  I really don't even have enough cash to buy food or gas after daycare, utilities, car note, car insurance, house note and insurance.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO BETTER THIS SITUATION.
